OUR VALUES

We view environmental and social sustainability as an urgent matter calling for conscious, continuous effort to do better for the planet and its people. We believe intentional practice leads to impactful progress. Here’s what we practice at Jai-Dee Studio:

  • Partnerships with Purpose

We invest in authentic and enduring partnerships with those who share our concern for the earth, our care for the arts and our belief in humanity. With these partners, we pursue exceptional designs, curate sustainable materials, limit waste, utilize resources responsibly and uphold ethical production practices.

  • Positive Interdependence

We recognize a healthier future for both dance and the planet depends on collective effort and community-wide shifts. We choose connection over competition not only because it feels better, but also because it’s what forward progress demands. At Jai-Dee Studio, we champion many different artists and brands, celebrating “individual” success as shared progress for us all. We also frame self-care within a larger context of community-care and strive to make visible the many relationships that form the ecosystem of dance.

  • Increased Accessibility

All artists deserve access to sustainability and self-care, not only for the benefit of their own lives but also for the health of the environments we are all part of and help shape. Too often, sustainable products and self-care resources are too expensive or have low perceived value. We strive to illuminate the wide-ranging benefits of sustainable, mindful living with community-sourced education and experiential learning. We address cost barriers by making our practice platform free and by highlighting featured brand discounts. With this approach, it is our goal to continuously offer artists new entry points into sustainable, healthy living.

  • Practice over Performance

We acknowledge the world of dance and the world at large demands bold, global action; we also recognize the power we hold as individuals, a company and a community. We commit to continue learning about and implementing ways we can better care for artists and the planet we share. We encourage others to join us! Together, we can resist performative activism and embody the messy, honest and meaningful path of practice.
